The idea in the for the Coopers home was to give it the look of a 50's black and white TV show except for the main character Wallace and the birthday party stuff. I went with various shades of black and white for the set and used a stark white light to wash the stage. This presented a challenge because I had to use the same for the rest of the show. The other lighting challenge was that the Coopers living room was the furthest back on stage and the rest of the sets kept moving forward so I kept loosing lights on stage.
